A. C. Tucker biography

A. C. TUCKER, born in Rhode Island, June 24, 1827, came to Milan, Erie County, Ohio, in 1835, where he remained until 1857, then moved to Wood County. In 1861 settled in Adams Township, Lucas County, and in 1882 purchased his present homestead in Spencer Township. In 1851 he married Rebecca Macklin. In 1861 he married for his second wife, Laura Beard, widow of Samuel Beard. Eight children were born to him—four by first marriage and four by second, three of whom are now deceased. Mr. Tucker enlisted in 1864 in the 130th Regiment, Company I, Ohio Volunteer Infantry, and was mustered out October 1, 1864. In politics he is a Republican.
