George S. Griffin biography

GEORGE S. GRIFFIN, born March 29, 1836 in Delaware County, New York; came with his parents when two years old, to Fulton County, Ohio, then to Lucas County, and settled in Richfield Township in 1859, where he now resides. He was married August 7, 1859, to Susan C. Ford, who died in 1873, and he married, March 17, 1886, as a second wife, Clara C. Nason, who was born in Lucas County, August 29, 18—. Six children have been the issue of Mr. Griffin’s marriages. Mr. Griffin enlisted August 7, 1862, as private, under Captain W. W. Hunt, and served one year. He has been Assessor, School Director about 10 years, and also Supervisor and Constable. He is a Republican.
