Two brothers, engaged in farming and stock-raising on section 29. The elder of the two, and the subject of this sketch, is a native of Jackson County, Missouri, and was born August 25, 1854. He is the son of David and Orlena Yankee, his father is a native of Kentucky and his mother a native of Tennessee. Both were very early settlers in Missouri. Our subject was educated in the common schools, and at the High School at Lone Jack. He has spent most of his time in farming and dealing in stock, and is a young man of fine business abilities. He and his younger have the management of the David Yankee estate, and the care of their mother and the younger members of the family.
