JOHN TAYLOR, born in Pennsylvania, April 15, 1815. Came to Maumee in 1836, walking all the way from Pennsylvania, 500 miles. That was before the railroads were built. Married Mary F. Hall, of Monclova. She was born in 1820. Have had eight children, six living; three boys and three girls. Has always been a farmer. Has been Trustee and Member of the School Board five years. In politics he is a Republican.
