MARTHA C. HAMILTON, born in Columbia County, Pennsylvania, November 9, 1822. Came to Lucas County wit her father, W. L. Runyan, in the Spring of 1834. She married John Hamilton, of this County, February 15, 1842. Had two children, girl and boy: Bertha, born March 18, 1848; William T., born April 25, 1852. Mr. Hamilton died April 27, 1866. In his early days he was a saddler and harness maker; was in the wool and fur business. In politics was a Republican. Mrs. Hamilton is a member of the United Brethren Church of Monclova.
