Mrs. Helen Price biography

Mrs. Price of Box 291, Centre, Ala., was born here Nov. 4, 1919 to Mr. and Mrs. Clayton W. Pope. Her grandparents ware the O. M. Martins and the Dell Popes. She married in Centre, Ala., Dec. 20, 1941. They have no children but other members of her family are W. Doyle Pope, Catherine Thrash and Paul D. Pope.

She is a member of the Methodist Church, Wesleyan Service Guild, Literary Guild and Red Cross. She has been president of the Literary club and chairman of the Red Cross. She attended Centre Elementary and High Schools, Snead College, University of Alabama and Jacksonville State Teachers College. Her occupation is that of a teacher. Her husband is Superintendent of Construction. She has visited the South, Central and Western States. She also has visited in Washington, DC.
