Sallie Ford Arnold biography

Mrs. Sallie Ford Arnold (Mrs. Paul J. Arnold), who lives at 501 Gayle Street, Jacksonville, Alabama, and a member of the Jacksonville Progressive Study Club, was born in Georgetown, Kentucky. Her parents are Mr. William Cans Moore and Mrs. Sallie Ford Moore.

In 1919, she became the wife of Mr. Paul J. Arnold in Georgetown, Kentucky. They became the proud parents of two children: James Hugh and William Thomas. James Hugh is deceased.

Mrs. Arnold’s family consisted of two siblings: a sister, Jessie Moore Wright, and a brother, Hugh A. Moore (both deceased).

Mrs. Arnold received her education from the Georgetown Grammar and High School, while her college education was pursued at Georgetown College and Peabody College of Nashville, Tennessee. Her present occupation is that of a teacher and supervisor. Her husband is also a teacher.

Besides being a member and president of the Progressive Study Club, she is president of the Faculty Wives Club of Jacksonville, and has served in the capacity of secretary of the Progressive Study Club twice. She is a member of the Baptist Church. Some of the places of interest visited have been points out East and in Florida.
