A wealth of Lovely flowers offered sweet and fitting tributes to one who had oft been spoken of as the Saint of Mineral Wells. The service was concluded at Elmwood Cemetery where she was laid to rest beside loved ones who had gone before. Beautiful and noble tributes were paid the gentle Christian character who had so gently fallen asleep. Her fine strength and influence for good being qualities that shall live and bear fruit in the lives of others. Miss Beeler passed away at 9:25 Saturday evening.
Miss Emma Beeler, eldest daughter of Dr. and Mrs. George Beeler, was a native of Collin County, coming here in the early days of Mineral Wells. Their place, the Beeler House, was one of the well known places in this section of the State and with her influence and activity Miss Emma was one of the builders for good in this town and county. She was a charter member of the W. C. T. U. here and on her casket was placed the white ribbon in the manner that it had been placed on that of Frances Willard. She was a member of Prudence Chapter of Eastern Star and her faithfulness of work and worship in the Methodist church was one of its greatest building forces, particularly in a spiritual way. Her public spirited interest, her sweet charity and genuine interest in the welfare of everyone she knew made her a woman well beloved not only by her own people and especial friends, but by all.
She is survived by three brothers – Dr. B. R. Beeler, Dick Beeler of this city, and Frank Beeler of Dallas and by a number of nieces and nephews, and more distant relatives.
