SAMUEL HARMON COLLINS, born January 28, 1836, in Jefferson County, New York. Settled in Ohio about 1837, locating at Maumee, where he remained about five years, then removed to Williams County. Here he resided until he was seventeen years old, and then went to Steuben County, Indiana, remaining there until 1862, when he settled in Lucas County. Married February 1, 1857, to Clarinda J. Shank, the result of this union being five children.
